RV Inverter Installation
Most people are unfamiliar with RV inverters and how they work. Here’s everything you need to know about these electrical components.
What’s An RV Inverter
Most appliances and devices require 120 Volt AC power. And when your RV is plugged into shore power, you're bringing a 120V AC power source into your RV to power all those appliances and devices.
However, the battery in your RV provides 12V DC Power.
So, when your RV’s only source of power is a battery - which is usually the case when you’re boondocking - you need an inverter to change the 12V DC from the battery to 120V AC power required by your 120V appliances.
How Does An RV Inverter Work?
An RV power inverter takes 12V DC power and converts it to 120V AC by increasing the voltage and then modifying it, causing it to alternate. Or, to put it more simply, an inverter boosts 12V DC power from the battery bank to a 120V AC power supply.
All Your RV Power Needs In One Place
Besides installing RV inverters, we also do all types of RV wiring. Whether you need a complete rewire or wish to add exterior lighting, we can make it happen.
